Would a truck cap from a 1st gen fit on a second gen? And for the fiberglass ones, if it fit would the body lines match or be way off?

 

my 2nd gen came with an aluminum camper shell when I bought it and I gave it to a friend for his 1st gen dak. It fit his as good as it did mine but there were no body lines to match up because of the type cap that it was. Practical but ugly as hell.
