my 2000$ deal is becoming a nightmare
1999 Dakota V6
I just got this truck and a the pick up coil went out. changed it out and now it misses. it only does it after its warmed up. It stops after a while by itself. the wires were just changed. upon instection by me i found that the wires were off by one post on the distributor. for instance #1 plug wire was on #2 Post on cap, all the away around that #6 wire was on #1 cap. i put them on correctly and it would not start. I turned the distributor until it works with the wires on correctly. It still misses. My haynes manual says it might need the Fuel syncronization reset with special equipment.
its gotta be electronic in my opinion because the missing starts after the engine runs a while then stops by itself. when it misses its almost undrivable. any ideas.
