Default need help making myself a cold air intake tomorrow

So tomorrow im going to the auto parts store to get some chrome intake piping, couplers, and filter to rig up my own CAI like most other people do. I have an 04 dakota 3.7 V6 i noticed a black hose going into the airbox. What is it and what do i need to do with it? My other question is what is the sensor that is at the end of the stock tubing where it clamps to the manifold? What is it and what do i need to do with it? If one you guys can help me that would be awesome i really want to make this thing work! Cheers!

ur in luck i just did mine.
that little black hose is ur breather hose and can be replaced by a little filter.
i have a pic of mine it's black pvc pipe tho not chrome.
for the sensor put a bung in ur pipe and silicone the sensor in there.
do a search on it.

I bought it at Lowes. I also saw some at homedepot and osh garden centers. Most hardware stores carry it.

Thanks man nice looking intake too. When you say bung you mean drill a hole in the pipe and seal it in just like it is on the stock filter now?
