i have a 99 dokota 3.9 that the transmission housing is cracked all the way around. i am planing on replacing this but i have found a transmission that came from a 5.2 and a boy tells me this will mount up to my 3.9 with out changing anything. i was wondering if this was true? i was thinking about doing the swap over to a 5.2 later on down the road and was wondering how hard that would be as well. but for right now need to no if a tranmsission from a durango 5.2 will work with the 3.9

 

the trans will work, but it has a different setup for the shifter linkage. Do some searches on the V8 swap and you'll find what im talking about.
