if you do alot of "inclined" driving then you might have a problem. Also my efan blares 100% of the time when im offroad hunting. I have only ever overheated once heading up a mountain highway.

But city driving it works as if u had your clutch fan on. Your efan might only kick on when your idling for more than 5 min!

Good luck!

If your only concerned about the noise of the fan, Summit Racing and Jeg's both sell 7-blade fans that bolt right up. Makes that truck whisper quiet.

are u talking about an aftermarket clutchfan?
i've heard those can be louder then the factory ones.
i'm not sure about the 5.2 but the 4.7 comes stock with an electric fan.
mine has been fine w/o the clutch fan, even sitting in traffic for 3 hours.

I want to upgrade my electric fan, but so far, I haven't needed it. I may just run a switch to turn the electric fan on w/o turning on the compressor.

so you can order this from summit and it will be ready to bolt right up to the block? or do you have to buy a clutch for it?

that would bolt up to the stock fan clutch just fine, but it likely wouldnt solve the noise problem.

what is the purpose of a clutch fan delete? to lose the "blower" sound?
