Default Replacing Muffler

I'm looking into replacing my muffler and was wondering if anyone knew which would be louder or better for my truck. I've got a '97 Dakota 5.2L and it currently has a Flowmaster exhaust with dual outlets that was on it when I bought it. I am trying to decide between getting the same muffler, or switching to a Cherry Bomb glasspack, or a Cherry Bomb extreme. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Glass packs can be obnoxiously loud. As soon as my stock muffler rusts out, I've got a Flowmaster 40 series single in/dual out that's going to be going on.

Yes Flowmaster 40 is a great muffler. I got it too.

I will move this to the 2nd Generation Dakota Sub-Forum.

Flowmaster will be better then a Cherry Bomb glass pack, but the Cherry Bomb vortex mufflers sound pretty good. So do Magnaflows...
