Unhappy Need help with my truck, 'codes"

I have 2 codes P0308 cylinder 8 miss-fire ..., & P0740 Torque converter clutch cylinoid, where should I start fixing this problem, what to do? I don't have the money to pay a mechanic. like to do this myself if it's possible. I'm on yahoo messenger its cromag77_2000

The misfire code is setting this off most likely. But in the odd case that is isnt, tranny fluid could be contaminated, TCC defective, TCC circuit damaged. There is your starting point... As far as your misfire goes, check your plug, wires, or coil pack whichever you have.
