Default Dakota wont start

My truck wont start, its rained last night and air is damp. The battery is charged, and the starter is working. Also I can smell gas behind the truck ware the exhaust exits. Any ideas?

btw, its a 97 Dakota 5.2L automatic with 116K miles.

Sounds like your distributor got wet and shorted. Take a look at the weather stripping around the back of the hood. Make sure it's all there, and not dry rotted or anything.
