i got a 99 dakota with a 3.9in it,what would cause the truck to work fine then the rpm guage will go haywire and then go back to normal.

Do you actually hear the motor changing RPM's when the gauge goes haywire, or is it just the gauge?

you can actually feel it ,i know the tranny is not slipping and is full of fluid
