Dodge Dakota shifter dial

How do you adjust the shifter dial in the dashboard that shows what gear you are in? Mine is showing in betwee gears when I shift to R,N,D,etc. It's a 99 Dodge Dakota 4x4

This is a how-to on F150's, but its very similar to the way the Dakotas are too. I just had to do this a few weeks ago. Just feel around a bit and you will find the little adjuster that you spin.
