does anyone know if a person can make a 97 valance work on 96 bumper?? has anyone done it

Nope. Not without ALOT of serious fabrication.

 

will the 97 valance will seperate from the bumper ? i cant find it now but i font a 96 dak silver and the valance looks like a 97.. but i can not find any aftermarket valances for the 96 that looks like the 97, if i can find it again i will post it, maybe some one will know what or where it came from

 

ok i found a web site. with a silver dakota, i have called them with no luck...........

That is definatly a 97 style valence on a Gen1 truck so the answer is yes you can put a 97 valance on a 96 dakota, but i doubt it will bolt right on, there will probably be at least a moderate amount of fabrication needed.
I will admit that it looks bold, and if you are installing fog lights it would be great.
So You know it can be done, but can you do it?

 

ok I thought that was a 97 up dakota valance, It does look good....... and im sure its NOT a bolt on thing.... I was hope maybe someone did it before and could shed some light on the install sine i can not find one for my 96

 

Hey it looks just like a stock 97 valance, so you could try geting a cheap one at your local junkyard, if you deciede to do it let us all know how it turns out
