Is the engine supposed to have 4 or 5 quarts? I would assume the dealer would know, but then again there are some dealers out there that should never be in business. That's a different stroy though.

There is no way adding an extra qt of oil drops you gas milage by 17 mpg. Sorry but that just won't happen. Yeah, theoretically you could lose some but not 17.

Just tell him to open his hyphendufalator valve. He'll be good to go.

 

every book that has specs for the vehicle shows 5.1 qts.
