Default Multi switch or computer? Need help.

Hi everyone new here. Just need some help figuring out what is wrong with my 2002 dakota. The interior lights flicker, the windows dont work, the door locks dont work, low beams dont work, high beams flicker on & off. When the truck is turned off a barely audible clicking can be heard from both headlights. Is this the multi-switch thats bad or the computer? The truck runs fine & had no "no bus" messages on the dash. All gauges & stereo work fine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You probably have a bad Central Timer Module. It's in the driver's kick panel. All of the problems and components you described are controlled by the CTM. Just about every single electrical accessory function on your truck is controlled by the CTM too.

You can try unplugging the CTM for a few minutes to see if it will reset but with that many problems happening all at once it will very likely need to be replaced. You can buy a new one at the dealer and plug it in yourself and everything should work OK again but if you have the factory keyless entry system the dealer will have to program your existing keyless entry remote controls to the new CTM. The keyless entry module is an internal part of the CTM. The dealer can check your truck with the DRB scan tool to be sure the CTM is bad but they will charge you for the diagnostic time. The only way to tell 100% for sure if the CTM is bad is at the dealer with the DRB scan tool.

If you have any electronics knowledge you may try opening the case of the CTM and check for corrosion on the circuit board, corroded connectors, bad solder joints, etc.

its most likely ur ctm (central timer module) u have to get it from the dealer and have it programed for ur key fobs it gets pricey
i recommend buying it from the dealer install it in the parking lot then just have them program it, it takes 3min to install its right behind drivers kick panel

mine cost 250 bucks but that is no power accessories version i think the one with them is around 300 bucks and i think it is around 50 bucks to have the dealer program it

edit: damn u jimmy for postin before me lol
