ok i have a 2004 Dodge dakota quad cab 2WD 4.7V8 and i want to get a suspension lift but i can't find any of them that are for this year? anyone know where i can get 1? i heard u have to customize an older lift kit for it? what years are the 1s u have to get customized if so. Thank you

 

why are you lifting a 2 wheel drive in the first place? are you pre running the truck?

i believe rancho still makes one, and tough country as well, not sure about a 2 wheel drive specific one.

 

there r only two suspension lifts for the 2wd that i know of, the fabtech and doetsch tech they are both pretty much the same just doetsch tech is a lot cheaper, its like name brand vs. store brand on em if u get them u gotta get new rims with smaller backspacing cause of the new control arms

edit: fabtech has discontinued the 2wd dakota lift (which sux) but there are still places that have it stocked so u can contact either prolly to see if it'll fit ur 04 i dont know if there are any differences in the 04 to the others, prolly none but still contact the makers

 

ya im making it a prerunner and its cause i have a 2wd and cant afford to get rid of it and get a 4wd so its what i have to work with and thanks for the help

 

Just to clarify, They DONT make lift kits for the 2004 4WD model Dakota right?? And is their any truth to what he said?? can Modify a 98-99 5.5" lift from rancho to fit my 04??
