Default CV Axle

I've got a torn inner cv joint boot and need to replace the passenger half shaft. Everywhere I've looked says to just yank it out or pry it out. There really isn't a good place to pry as the closest lip is not flat. Any tips for getting this off? Thanks in advance guys

I'm not sure exactly you are talking about that is to flat. Do you mean where the CV and axle hub flanges meet. If so use a rubber mallet and smack it one all bolts are removed. If you needed the Service Manual is in the stickies. That has an entire section dedicated to the CV axles.
