my buddy got his 2wd f-150 that he just lifted, high centered on a mound like that. I had to pull him out with my dakota because his tires locked up in the back and started digging. Then i promptly gave him a ration of **** for lifting his truck and how mopar is better.

That was a good day!

Yea I took off the driver's side and I'm a little upset that I did that. The emblems were like cleared over or something so u can clearly make out that emblems used to be there plus u can feel the raised spots that weren't covered by emblem I'm stumped on how to get rid of that wet sand with 2000grit? Its like a super version of ghosting from hell. I'm waiting on doing the other side to see if I can fix the driver's if not ill have to buy new emblems to put back on.

when I took mine off I used Maguires scratch-x remover and then polished it up after. You might have to use some kind of rubbing compound...there is probably a few threads on debadging that might help.

No, when i took mine off there was just the tape left on there. I used adhesive remover and then scratch-x etc....is your clearcoat gone where the lettering was? If not you might be able to get a high grit sand paper (wet) and sand it then buff it out.

yep thats pretty much what mine is like im pissed about it, mine the letters were each an individual emblem that was held on by adhesive of some sort and getting them off was a pain kept on braking apart on each letter
but that was what i was thinking about using, i got some 2000grit from when i was re-tinting my tail lights

Is it just the stickiness left on there?

a good buffer and a buffing compound should take care of the clearoat issue. Just make sure you dont stay in one spot for very ong or you will burn through toe clearcoat and be really screwed!!

if it's just a little fading difference the sun might fix it. but if you can feel the edge
of the letters there might be some leftover glue i used mothers bug and tar remover
when i did mine and it ate thru everything but the paint.

im with cowboy tho use a compound before you try sanding.
