Default New member question

Bought an '03 Dakota V8 4X4 several months ago and have been following this forum. I've learned much about my truck by reading most posts. Thanks to all.
My first post is a question of course. The passenger side power window switch only works when the engine is actually running. The passenger side window can be controlled by the driver with the ignition set to Acc. or when the engine is running. Is this a built in program/code that can be changed or do I have a malfunction somewhere? I doubt that the passenger airbag defeat switch is in the loop with the passenger window switch but I tried the window switch with the airbag on and off to no avail. Several post before mine is a window question along the same lines as mine but the members post seems to be describing a defective part. The rest of the truck looks and performs as new. Very happy. Suggestions on my window issue and thanks in advance.

Solved the passenger window switch problem. The window down part of the switch was dirty. I didn't have any contact cleaner to spray down through the switch but I had plenty of vodka lying about .Took less than half an eye dropper full of the vodka to clean the switch. All is well.
