Default Gear ????

ok i think i have 4.11's in the back an 3.92's in the front.. i jacked up the truck an spun the tire one full turn an on the back the drive shaft spun just over 4 times so 4.11 right an for the front it spun right at 4 times so guessing 3.92.. this is with 31's an could i run 4wd with out an problems seeing 3.92 an 4.11 are so close,, an if i spin one tire one way the other spins oppiste so thats lsd right,, thanx for time,, an yes i searched 26 pages an only found treads about people asking how to replace or what gears should they get......

no, they are both open diff. they would spin the same way if it had a LSD.

and i would never run 4wd with two different ratios.

Are you sure about your estimates? Like you said, they are really close, you could have easily spun the rear driveshaft just a hair further than the front driveshaft. Nobody with a lick of sense would ever put different gears in the front and rear of a 4x4.

Definately Not!!!!!!!!! The biggest gear difference you can do is something like 4.09 and 4.11s, as an example.

No, like said above, if they spin the same direction its limited slip, locker, or spool. If they spin opposite directions its open.
