Default Question about rims on 1998 Dodge Dakota

im new to this...but...i have a 1998 dodge dakota...and i want to put 17" rims on it and i just wanted to know..if the tires and rims would fit with out lifting my truck???? if someone could help with that i would appreciate it!!!

it all depends on ur truck and the size of tires u wanna run, the rims are no prob, ppl have stuffed 20s under the 2nd gen daks, it all depends on the backspacing of the rim and how wide it is. if u got a 4x4 then the tallest tires u can run without lift safely and without rubbing i think is like a 32"? a 4x4 will have to confirm, for the 2wd i wouldn't go above a 31" tire.

Yeah 32 is the biggest you can run and I think the widest is like 11.5
