Default rear window clarification

Hey all ...well my friend was helping me load up the truck for a dump run and he threw in a 2x6 which bounced up and .^. the 1/8 thick glass dosen't look so pretty now..I've done a bit of searching through the posts ..but not sure : is the glass glued to the cab or is there a gasket with the glass glued into it .... I'm tempted to clean the glass out go get a rubber gasket kit from an old 70's truck and get a peice of 1/4 tinted safety glass cut..
anyway , all replies appreciated

Easy enpough to tell. Is there a rubber gasket on both sides (inside and outside) of your rear window? If there is, you probably can go ahead with your plan.

Or get a sliding rear window out of a do-it-yourself junk yard.

Thanks 98 .. I did give it a quick once over .. if it's a gasket it's a wierd one ... the inside is almost to stiff to be worked with ..

Quick update for any others out there .. the original glass was glued in with urathane ,there are four thin metal hooks in the corners ... easy to bend . If you use a windsheild knife you should be able to cut it out , Replaced mine with a slider .. also glued in .. then there is a rubber gasket that inserts on the outside to make it look like a normal gasket installation .. hope that helps some one .. and thanks for the replies I recieved
