what will cause the rockers to fall out on a 4.7

Rockers to fall out? Broken rocker stud. How do you know its a rocker and not a valve issue?

Rockers

I dont know i pulled off the valve cover and the rocker was out just laying under the cover. i swoped with next rocker and lifter instaled both started up and the same cyl. rocker fell out agen.
