It kinda depends on what tranny you have now it might be a ax15 or but prob a nv3500. It should work out fine bolting up only thing is a nv3500 is not going to hold up to 400ft.lbs of torque that the hemi makes. Im pretty sure the nv3500 is rated at 300ft.lbs of torque. Your only safe option is the nv4500 it was used with the 5.9 cummins,5.9 v8's and 8.0 v10's so it can handle some abuse

You should have got the trans. with the Motor. 45-rfe. OR 545 rfe, These are the only automatic, transmissions I would even consider putting behind a new model Hemi.."For a Dakota"...The one you have won't last"IF" It bolts up..You're going from 200 hp MAX to at least 345 hp.on a used Transmission..

I don't think the NV3500 will hold up to the hemi, the 4500 has a hemi bellhousing available and would be fine, but it is a whole new mod in itself. 95_318SLT is putting an NV4500 in his Dakota right now in the first gen forum. Sorry but you will need a new tranny no matter what you decide to do. The NV3500 has an integral bellhousing which will not mate to a hemi. In addition to that, going from a 3.9 to a hemi is going to be a nightmare from an elecronics stand point. I don't imagine you having a surplus of dodge parts in Brazil.
You would be much better of going to the 5.9L engine, or the 5.2. Even then, the NV3500 should only be used behind the 5.2.
