The TPS is more in play when you're actually on the gas. If you're having issues with the idle being screwy when in park it is probably caused by something else. Vac lines being clogged or leaking can cause this. There are a couple of other threads about this topic as well. Just your a/c cycling on and off and cause the idle to change.
