Im not hating lol My remark was intended to have a double meaning. The horror that you brought such an alien in our midst- Ive got to stay faithful to my kin folk. Also, because I have always had a soft spot for the newer Tacos and I was saddened to hear of its departure, from what was clearly a loving owner.

The key fob might just be low on batteries. Advance auto parts has a sensor dealy that can check your battery level at the counter. It is free and will help narrow down the cause.

As for speakers, are they crappy due to crackling and/or sound like they are blown? Or are you just unimpressed with the "quality" of them? The truck is older and they may have gotten played a lot by previous owner(s). What are the locations of the speakers in your truck. For example, are they only in the doors or are there any up high?

Forgot to mention I have a key fob but it doesn't function, any way to program that myself or do i have to hit up a dealer?

Oh and my truck has the Infinity sound system, but i dunno if its working cuz it sounds like crap...
Dealer has to program it. The infinity system is prob blown I know when I drive my moms jeep I jam cause it sounds so much better than my truck. Hell my woods beater has a better sounding quality.

Bought a Haynes Repair Manual, some "Dodge" Front Floormats and 2 goofy "Ebay Fuel Saver gizmos" from a guy for $20 today.
Here's a couple of pics of my truck, pretty damn stock haha

I have the Infinity sound system for sure, i have the tweeters and also checked to verify the amp was under the passenger kicker panel, sure was. Just doesn't sound amazing, but then again thats with the Radio, haven't tried CD... Probably at least time to upgrade the 8 year old speakers. Could the amp be blown but still be working? (allowing sound)

Oh and anyone know what type of batteries the FOB takes? Maybe I just need to try new bats...

I like your dakota. I think I need to think about getting a 4x4 v8 lol

It's hard to say with the amp. It could have bad connections for the wires. Take it to a buddy and/or a stereo shop and ask them if it's blown if you're not sure.

Not sure about the key fob battery type since my truck is all manual. Hey! I've gotta keep these muscles toned somehow! <-- or at least that is what I tell myself... lol

i took the fuse out for my sub when i had the trans done...went to play the radio for the first time, i was like "somethings missing...this sounds aweful" then i realized i never replaced the fuse for my sub, lol.

For the fogs:

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...og-lights.html

I'm going to make the mod on mine, w/ aftermarket driving lights. I'm just gonna mount a floor style switch (see: the old fashioned way) on the dead pedal.

could have sworn there was an interior electrical diagram in the haynes, but I dont see it :stumped: I dont even see an interior section???

I'm about 80% sure the cig lighter is orange for power, and black for ground. I know GM used to put the horn, radio, and cig lighter all on the same fuse. Not sure about dodge. This kinda disappoints me.
