When cruising on the interstate with or without the cruise control on the truck starts loosing power and if i keep the gas pedal in the same position it will start backfiring. If i accelerate it will pick back up but will start loosing power in a few seconds.
It felt as if i was loosing fuel so i changed the fuel pump assymbely and still the same thing. i dont know if it makes a difference but a couple weeks ago i removed the cat and the light stays on for the o2 sensor.

I had this EXACT issue on my v6 dakota it was that the hoses to the charcoal canister were disconnect and dried out and split

The charcoal canister hoses sounded very convincing so I checked them today and they are all ok. I also checked the tps and map sensor today and they checked out ok with voltage readings. So if anyone has any more suggestions they will be appreciated.

How do the plugs look? Might check the rest of the vacuum tubing.

All the vacuum lines seem to be fine. Now the truck is starting to act up when I get off the interstate as well.
