Default cab swap compatabillity

Hello everyone. Im new to this site and have a question for the guru's.

I have a 2003 dakota quad cab 2wd with the 4.7 auto trans. My nephew recently rolled it causing un fixable damage to the cab. Now I also have a 2000 dakota quad cab 2wd 4.7 auto trans that has a blown motor. My question is if i remove and swap the cabs would everything be compatitable as far as the electronics go? I rebuild military helicopters by trade so I know I can take this grueling switch on. but is everything compatible?

since all your swapping would be the actual cab, I dont see why you would run into any problems. Some of the electronics maybe a little different but you could still keep everything out of the 03.

the only thing that i can think of is that the dash's are different in the 2000s than the 2003s. Might have to do a little rewiring and stuff. But really I would just part out the truck unless you have the time to spare working out all the kinks.

Good luck!!

i believe the tunnel in the 01 and newers is shallower or different so you may want to look into that first. i think this is the reason why the hurst shifters don't work on the 01 and newer manual trucks so it may affect the auto's too
