Official Fastman Throttle Body Discussion Thread
I wanted to create a central location for people to go to in order to discuss and read about this great TB.
Found here: http://www.thefastman.com/
Personally, put mine (3.7L so yours may be a bit different) on in a little under 45 mins and that was including cleaning everything real good. My old tb was quite dirty and the sensors needed some love.
My impressions: There is definitely a differences in my rev speed. It also made a noticeable difference to the tone of both my intake and flowmaster 50 series exhaust due to the increased breathing.
It literally is a direct swap out with just moving the sensors from your old tb to the new one (total of 3 screws for the sensors). ZERO hassles whatsoever. The throttle cable and cruise control cable easily went onto the new one as well. It even comes with complete instructions for the installation and removal. General install instructions http://www.thefastman.com/ThrottleBo...structions.asp
He does include model specific instructions with each order. The instructions with mine are below:
Instructions quoted from the sheets that came with my Fastman TB:
"It is a good idea to reset the PCM by removing the positive battery cable from the battery. Then turn the ignition key to ON for 15 seconds. Turn back to OFF.
Remove the air intake assembly [just what is attached to the throttle body]
Remove the cables from the Linkage Arm. Be very careful with the Cruise Control Cable. it is mounted on a plastic stud that will break if improperly removed. slide the cable prallel to the linkage through its opening off the stud. Do NOT pry it.
Remove the Sensor Connectors
Remove the 3 stud bolts holding the TB down
Remove the TB
Remove the IAC Motor and TPS sensor from the old TB noting how they are lined up. Make sure to see if there is an O ring on the TPS sensor and reuse it.
Install the sensors on the new TB
Install the new TB on the Manifold reusing the O ring gasket.
Install the stud bolts, Linkage and connectors back up
Install the air intake
Connect the battery cable back up
Fire up the vehicle and let it idle for a few minutes making sure the PCM relearns and the idle is steady. Then take it out and test drive."

You can really see the boring and the widening at the lip at the bottom. There appears to be approximately a 3mm diameter difference when I take an inner measurement with my caliper.
It is extremely smoother and the transition inside of it is much more subtle.
For $180 + $50 core + $10 shipping, I am very pleased
I'll take a couple of comparison shots before I ship back my core later today.
Well guys, use this for fastman throttle body discussions. Share your experiences with yours.
Mods, make it a sticky or link to it in the faq please.
