water leak

Question water leak

i'm a mechanic notice the name for imports tho i got a 02 dodge dakota 3.9 that has a water leak on the driver side floor board i pulled all the carpet up and cleaned it out real good and left it in the shop all day and when i got off work i jumped in it went home got up the next mornign after it rained and water in the floor again what is leaking it's not coming down the fire wall any ideas any one it dont rain much in texas and never noticed it before and now i got this water leak some say it's from the e-brake but water dont travel up hill tho and the truck only gets drove 10 miles round trip a day to work and home so help me out thanks in advance

Depending on what cab you have, a lot of people have found it to be window seals. Sit in the car and have a buddy spray the windows with a hose and watch for leaks.

Like Rantz said, do the classic trick, and pressure all the window seals until you get an affirmative. If you have the slider window, see if your slider seal is there- mine came out long ago, so I get a little rain in through that spot, but nothing big. My truck was outside while we had 10+" here in arlington, and I only had a couple drip-lines going down the plastic under the window. If it's an ext cab, check those seals too.

I have the same problem but it is the passengers side. There is no sliding back window.
