Hey guys, I have a 97 v8 dakota, it runs fine on idle and while normail driving city and highway, however whenever I step hard on the pedal and hit aboce 3k rpms a weird nosie starts coming from the engine, it does it whether im on parking or driving if i get above 3k rpms it starts it kinda feels likes it does not press forward while making the noise(while driving). Dunno what kinda noise it is sounds like 2 things in my mind, like sucking air strongly or like a piston misfiring (maybe) although computer is not throwing any codes and the truck runs fine on normail driving any ideas?

Edit: I forgot to mention that I have a bit of an oil loss, it loses about a quarter every month or so dunno if it could be related thx guys

I'm guessing a vacuum leak, just from description.

It turned out to be a bad water pump, it will make noise at high rpms cause I will cause the pump to go faster, I replace it and its great now =)
