Default Bad Wheel Bearing?

I had both front wheel bearings replaced in February of 2009 using SKF (rebranded Timkin bearings).

However, over the past few months, I'm getting a low speed growl/hum that is most noticeable at 18MPH (slower and it disappears and faster it slowly gets drowned out by road noise) and can be made louder by making right hand turns. Quickly shaking the wheel back and forth will also make the noise louder when the steering wheel is turned to the right.

Also, a sensation can sometimes be felt in the drivers side floorboard area that matches the sound when turning right. I have replaced the left wheel bearing which didn't do anything. Should I replace the right bearing and see if that fixes it?

I do have a noisey front differential bearing, but I don't think this is it....

Wheel bearings will do what you just explained. Jack up one side of the vehicle and grab the tire at 12 and 6 and push and pull and see if its loose do to both sides.

Yup - wheel bearing. I replaced the wheel bearing on my wifes volvo ($500) 1 year later I had to do it again. I have no idea why some last & some dont.

We've done both fronts on the ram, i dont even remember what mileage. Like 180 or 190 something. Been alright so far. We buy the high-dollar ones from O'Reilly's.

i'd say wheel bearing. i bought the whole hub with the bearing for like 200 through a friend but that was his cost. idk what it'd be for a normal customer.
