I've got an '04 Quad Cab. I have questions about the rear seat.

I know to just lift up on the bottom of the seat to fold it up.

Is there a way to fold down the back portion?

Is there a kit available to raise the seat up 3 or 4 inches to allow a tool box to be placed under this seat?

I'd like easier access to the jack etc that are under there & I'd like some solid storage inside the cab w/o taking up seat space.

 

The top most definitely does not fold down. It hangs in two loops and has a bolt at the joint where your butt would be on each side for each seat. As for lifting it, that would require utilizing some kind of spacers and longer bolts I'd imagine.

 

Thx. i hadnt thought of that. i was hoping to find a kit but now i'll take a look at building one.

 

dont forget to extend your seat belts as well. you can put a block under the mounting bolts to the floor, but you may need to weld on some extentions onto the hooks on the back of the seat. overall a fairly simple task.
