Default Chips/ programmers/ new computer/ flash

hello what is suggested for a dakota for the computer?
im looking something that has different settings that i can almost on the fly
im want something with a setting for the best gas milage and that i can still utilize tow/haul but like a diesel i can crank it up and haul ***

i have a 5.2

superchips is your best bet. they have 3 can tunes, towing, preformance and mpg.

if you want preformance get a SCT tune by sean aka hemifever. he knows his $hit. i had superchips but my stock pcm died and i didnt have the handheld so ive been running sock for a while. im going to get an sct in a few weeks when i get some bday money.

their isn't anything really that I know of that will have a on the fly screen and stuff like a diesel but like thunder said superchips is the most liked especially with an auto SCT which is different are good to but usually only if you have internal mods other than that not really worth the extra compared to a superchips stay away from jet

I can't tell you what's best, but I *can* tell you that I voted with my $$ & bought a used Superchips 3715 from a member on this forum. It's in transit right now. Looking forward to installing it on my 02 3.9. I'll have to try the 87 first, simply because there's no way I can put enough Super Unl(many stations around here have 93 oct) in before it arrives!

The Superchips can't be reset on-the-fly like some of the diesel units can, though. Dunno if the SCT or any others offer that or not.

its only at wot and the pcm learns to compensate and its usless then

Jet is junk dont even consider it. I told my buddy to take his off his ram and when he did there was no difference
