Hi, I'm Nikole and my Dakota has an awful crackling sound coming from under it. The sound started today and got louder after 3 miles. Anyone know what that could be? I live in the "boonies" and don't want to drive my truck if he should be towed to my mechanic. It's a 99 V6. Thanks folks!

you will have to be a lil more descriptive of the problem. Ie does it do it while ideling, moving,ect... Where is the sound coming from? Front or Back?

I'm thinking this one should be closed by a mod.
