Default On my 3rd ecm.

I have gotten a third rebuilt ecm and now it shows the brake light and abs light after a minute of being. I called autocomputerexchange and they told me it has to be reprogrammed by the dealer. It this possibly all that is wrong. I have no error codes on any ecm I use. It's just been a problem that each ecm i trie had different issues. Any help would be nice.

I ordered mine from them and it works great. 3.9 to 5.9 swap, just changed the "x" to a "z" in the vin #. What engine do you have?

Default 3.9

Ok. I am told now that the pinion factor has to be entered and that this will clear all my problems. If this is true.. is there anybody that lives in lewisville tx that will set this for me?? All the mechanics here will not do it.

Worst case scenario is the dealership. Here in FL they all charge about $100 to diagnose a vehicle. Any programing will fall under the "update" category when they hook you up to the computer. So you won't be charged for more than the diagnostic.

Have you tried a local Pick N Pull to see if you can get a deal on an ECM with the same options as your truck?

If you have a 2001 3.9 auto CA emissions; I still have my ecm- and the motor- sitting at the shop. Sooner or later I'll put it on CL.
