Liftin my 02
I have a 2002 4.7l 4x4 Dakota, looking to put maybe a 3" lift in it. I'm new to this so I don't know how to go about this, what brands are the best, with price in mind.
Please help?

Unfortunetly the Dakota has very limited options when it comes to lift. The torsion bar IFS setup limits us quite a bit. There is only one or two suspension lifts avaliable out there for the Dakota and they run $1200+. You can get a 3" body lift pretty cheap and quite easily but it really doesn't gain you anything. A body lift will only allow you to run a little bit larger tires.
If you would like an even cheaper alternative you can crank your torsion bars to lift the front about 2 inches and use blocks in the rear. This will allow you to fit 32's anyway. Again not gaining you anymore clearence but what the tires do. But it will look nice and gain you some clearence for tires. Check out The Playmaker's thread a week or two ago. He cranked his torsion bars an inch in the front and put some nice 32" Goodyears on there. It looks really nice now. Most people probably think it is lifted a lot more then an inch. But check that out, and check out the FAQ section. You will find a lot of information in there as well.
If you have anymore questions just let us know.
