Tranny question!

Will a 1997 Tranny off a 3.9L V6 Work with a 4.7L V8? yes i know the motor will probably tear the transmission apart if it works. Just wondering.

I just got a 97 dak given to me for spare parts, so i ffigred hell, if i ever needs a trans....
