i just bought the right and left tie rod ends for my 97 dakota 4x4,and took them out of the boxes and dont know now what tie rod goes to what side.there is a L stamped on both of them?moog product they both have a slight bend at the end.hope you can help.

 

I don't know if its different on the 4x4 but the 4x2 are the same for both side.

 

i did my inner/outer tie rods recently, first one i picked up went onto the side i was working on

they were the same in my case. just take the one you have on your truck off, compare it to both that came in the box..its almost guaranteed that they are all identical

 

is the part number stamped on them? do a search for it online if it is. I think one was left hand threads and the other right hand so if it doesn't go on its prolly for the other side.
