Yeah there is a little cb shop in my town and I know I should spend money to help out the little places but I bought 9 foot of coax and my last 3 foot antenna and it was 30.00 Now that I want two 4ft ants and 18 feet of coax I bet ill be looking at least 50.00. She is a nice old lady and knows her stuff too ill have to ask her if Ill be good to put them that close.

UPDATE!!

I asked her about being so close and she said there was a time where they had to be 10 feet apart and she said its just not always possible, that was back when they had metal antennas and she went into how fiberglass antennas can be closer and not interfere with signal quality. So I bought 2 4 foot ants with cable and mounts 62.00 Not bad ants come with a 1 year warranty. I still have to put on maybe some time next week if im not to tired after I get out of the woods lol

your antenna is also using your vehicle as an antenna...you want it as centered to the vehicle as possible

next to the ash tray if i put mine there it takes all the space from the 4x4 shifter to the ash tray time for a smaller cb i guess

Yeah thats the bad part but I dont use my ash try only thing thats in there is my sheetz coupons and half the time I forget they are there lol I thought about standing it up and having it right against my cup holders but then I thought ill go crazy without them so next to the 4wd shifter is the only place.
