Default Death Flash
i have a 96 dakota and im wondering how do i know if it has a death flash and how to fix it. i couldnt imagine it being detuned since it hauls *** but id like to know for sure.

As far as I know it is only 2nd Gen. I don't know for sure though, since 96 is the only OBDII on the 1st Gens.

My guess is you can take it to a dealer and ask if it has been updated ect.

it says on the computer and on the hood that it was reflashed in 97 due to a tsb on that model so im thinking it has the death flash.

I will move this to the 2nd Gen. Hopefully one of them knows more about when exactly the Death flash was used.
