Default Got her

Meet 'Rae'. Picked this up off a buddy last week. 1997 Sport, Magnum V6, 197K on the ODO. The best part? The $750 price tag. She runs like a champ. The body is by far the worst part. Paint sucks, as is usual, and there's a nice dent behind the driver side door and a smaller one on the tailgate. Body work and paint will come next year some time. Dual cat backs with Flowmaster 40 series sounds pretty good. Everything seen was done before I got it except it didn't have a drivers side mirror. $16 bucks at the junk yard and 5 minutes of my time took care of that.

Not bad for a beater truck.

Thanks. I meant to. When browsing the forum at work I knew where to post. COuldn't register since the image verification was blocked. Ran home real quick and posted before I had to run back out. I'll watch it closer next time.

Thanks. I'm glad I bought it. 2 weeks of reliability. I don't remember the last time I had that with my VW's.

And I have some connections for the body work. Just trying to figure out what I want to do about the bumpers. The front is def. rusted throughout on the drivers side.

Haha. Enjoy it now. It'll be gone when the body work comes.

The original owner, the guy I bought it off of, and myself are all youth pastors and have worked youth camps together. The first owner slapped that, the 'Jesus' on the left, and spray painted the bed mat with a cross and 'Jesus Saves'. Not that I don't believe, but for me, I like a clean vehicle. No badges, etc.

I think this one will stay close to what it is. I have had many projects in the past. Lifted Jeep, diff cars both boosted and N/A...this one may just stay where it's at aside from repair work and wiring up those lights on the front.

Or you can beat it b/c of the price. :P Honestly though, I don't think I've seen anything around better than thise for near this price.

Thanks all. Look forward to meeting some people and gaining some insight.
