Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply thunder. Being that I have the springs ordered I'll probably use them anyway. A little piece of mind and insurance for my engine. Now I'll have to scrap the $$ together for the exhaust and tuner.

did you just get the factory replacement ones? and the only thing you torque to spec is the cam sprocket bolt. the VC and beiring caps always snap when doing them to spec. not from my experience but from billy who did the install for me. he is in the 3g section.

and by exhaust get a spintech hiflow cat. and just dump it under the cab. it will sound absolutely wicked. might as well get a 180 tstat and a 06 intake manifold. lol yes i have the mod bug.

have you done the tmr mod and clutch fan delete?

Yes, I went to that Mopar site and got the cams and springs. I checked with them and the springs are the ones to use with the HO's. BTW what is VC? Sorry for any noob ?'s still new to a lot of this stuff.
I'd love to do the cluth fan delete but have yet to round up parts. I may pass on the tmr for now if I get a tuner. I've heard that the tuner will more or less do the same thing?
I've heard of hte spintech's and I plan on getting 180 T soon. The 06 intake I'll prolly wait on for now... or not. LOL. The 06 does not need the spendy adaptor unlike the 08 right?

VC= valve cover
the sct tuner does not controll the tranny, its stricly engine. so tmr mod + sonnax= an awesome shifting trans.
the clutch fan delete is a free mod. since you already have a stock efan.
and the 06 does not require an adapter. i got mine on ebay for 60 bucks shipped. but check local junkyards, ebay. well worth it.

I think I'll be ordering Cams, tuner/TB in the next few months. Then If I find a guy with a Dyno, I might do some runs. Otherwise I'll use a passport thing that is like a Gtech...mobile dyno/strip. That is after I get my Toyos back on...ha!

Like I told thunder the clutch fan delete sounds great but w/o a replacement I'd be worried the stock little efan may be a little weak on cooling things off, especially with spring/summer and in town driving. Can anybody put the down on this?
