whats + and whats - hooking up speakers

Default whats + and whats - hooking up speakers
I have a 97 dodge dakota i am putting new speakers all the way around. I took out the driver side speaker and disconnected the speaker wires the speaker wires are white with blue stripe and white with pink/purple stripe. what wire is positive and negative?

please help, thanks!

not sure, but any multi-tester will tell you. Turn on your stereo and connect the leads, you'll be able to figure it out.
