I had similar issues with my R/T, have you checked the sensors on the tranny? thats what caused it on mine. I dont remember the exact name but I believe there were 2 of them.

from what you have described, I doubt you have a faulty transmission.....get that code.......it will narrow the field of what to look for.......since it has to warm slightly for the problem to occur, it sure sounds like a faulty trans control module....however do not replace it on just a hunch cause they are usually kinda pricey.....

P0748 is a problem in the Gov pressure electrical circuit.......Possible causes are Transmission relay has lost voltage or is bad.......wiring from solenoid/sensor is shorted or open to the PCM or the PCM has failed.....

Unless someone has changed the filter lately and perhaps pinched the harness, i highly suspect the PCM....I would look for a donor PCM.........Get the service number off of it and search one out.....I have seen this a few times and most of the time that is the culprit....But it can be any where in that circuit....
