Default Dakota 4x4 SXT Ball Joints

I have a Dakota 4x4 SXT needing ball joints replaced Upper and Lower both sides. Does anyone have photos or instructions on doing this job? I've ordered Moog joints and just trying to plan the job. I've talked with the local parts store and the ball joint press tool is available and I will have access to air tools. Would appreciate any advice on making the job go smooth. Thanks

I rented the ball joint press from autozone to do my lowers, well, it didnt fit right and kept having problems with it, so I threw the truck back together and took it to a local shop and it cost me $50 to have both lowers pressed out and the new ones put in.

Thanks....I had already done this and found some great info it just wasnt for the dakota. This truck being a 4x4 is the part that has me a little worried about the job. I'm sure this will have to be taking down to access that lower balljoint.

I had a initial quote of $700.00 for the complete job and I just thought that was outrageous and decided I would just try myself. I have 230.00 worth of parts on the way and was hoping to rent the tool but I noticed there isnt much room around that lower balljoint.

I may have wished I had taken to a local shop too before its all said and done. If I can manage the job though I've saved lots of cash.

Thanks for the input
