My sons truck just stopped working.
Changed the coil and magnetic pick-up under the distributor, checked ASD relay, still no spark coming out of the coil, have 12 volts at the coil.
Any help would be great.

 

ok, you have power at the coil but do you have a solid ground?

 

Ground is solid.
How do i check the ignition switch?

 

Hot wire it.

 

we have had our 97 dodge dakota 4x4 down for a week with the same problem and did all u did lol ... check your timing chain and gears our chain was snapped in half and the gear was shattered we are now gettin spark but need to know the order for wires on distributor lol good luck hope this helps.
