I had thought about the HID's, but aftermarket HID is illegal in WA...

I have the 6k 55watt bi xenon for the headlights and 6k 35 watt single beam for fogs. I still have my stock headlight lenses so im sure they are not as bright as what they should be.

Stock vs HID

Just fogs

Fogs and low beams

also, what are the bulb types/numbers, like H1, H2, etc. which ones are for headlights and which ones are for fogs?

Installation was easy took me about 1hr and a half to do headlights only because I didnt have self tapping screws so I had to drill a hole for bolts to hold the ballest and that required me removing the battery. The fogs were easy the wires run down threw my fender down to the fog lights that took about 30-40 min. Headlight bulbs are 9007 and fogs are 899

I've been stopped with the Xenon bulbs because they thought they were HID's. They know which vehicles were made with and without them. I don't think they knew what to do when they found out they weren't HID.

The Xenon's are bright enough that the normal bulbs in the running light/turn signal section look almost amber.

Im sure you can find away around that, I know I would. what does it really endanger? I can see ok if they are not aimed correctly but you are keeping yourself safer with better lights. Thankfully our closest cop is 8 miles away in the next town.

Oh believe me, I've thought about it. I have to make a regular drive in a heavily wooded area, at night, no ambient lighting and with an abundance of blacktail, raccoons and bears in the area. I need good lighting for that fun!

However, I'm in a state that's about to go bankrupt and they are giving out tickets for everything they can find. I have a speeding ticket that was clearly not correct and all I could do was get the fine mitigated. I don't feel like handing them a few hundred dollars every few weeks...

Few questions: Do you think the high beams would be necessary, or could I get away with a single beam 55 watt in the head lights? And with the 9007, there is 9007-1 and 9007-2. What's the difference? Also, I don't see the 899's listed in the dropdown box. Am I missing something?

Not sure on the 9007's that wasnt in there when I ordered mine of coarse that was last april and I ordered the 880 one. My truck is older the fogs might be different than your truck but im not sure I would check that out for sure if you call autozone or advanced they will be able to tell you what fogs you have. As far as the 9007 I would email the company about them. Personally I think doing high and low beam hids are better well I dont drive in any lights areas mostly mountains and back roads so high and low hids were a good choice. For 20.00 I wouldnt skip out your getting them might as well go with the whole deal.
