Default Weird Starting

Ok i have a 2000 dodge dakota club cab and about a month ago i couldn't start my truck for the first time. I would push in the clutch, turn the key and nothing, and repeat a few times and then it would start. However recently it started taking longer and longer, but then a few days ago i figured out a way to get it going right away. I don't know why but if I don't press in the clutch all the way, in other words, i don't press it in like an inch it will fire up. It's very touchy too has to be right in the right place. So I turn the key and press the clutch in and depress until it starts. This is very weird to me and have never heard about this issue but would like to get it fixed. I thought it was maybe the starter at first but now i dont know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I would look into the switch for the clutch, you might have a situation that when you completely push the clutch in that switch disengages. Because if I read right you said if you hold the clutch in a certain spot it starts up just fine? If that's right then your starter is perfectly fine.

Yes once I depress the clutch the right amount it starts up fine. Thanks, and I'll look into the switch for the clutch
