Exclamation 2002 Dodge Dakota 3.9L

I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota. I am looking to mod the engine for better performance. I was wondering are there any suggestions to what I may be able to do?????? I heard you can change the throttlebody off a 5.2 or a 5.9, but is that true. I am looking to add a chip, any suggestions??? Cold Air intake, headers and a Flowmaster 40. Do you think I should cut the cat off or keep it, and if it is removed, will it trigger the check engine light? Thanks I appreciate any help I can get!!!

Yes you can use a throttle body off of a V8 but you will need to use a V8 cable. Otherwise you can get a ported and polished V6 throttle body, which would be your best bet, I do have one if you are interested, a v8 throttle body would be too big for your engine, you would lose your bottom end power.

You can get a superchips porgrammer which would be your best bang for the buck option, and you need to get a potted and polished v6 throttle body as a v8 throttle body will make you lose your bottom end as stated above. You can also add 1.7 roller rockers to help in the hp department, and a cold air intake you should see a decent gain
