just bought 04 Dakota, 4.7, auto, AWD/4X4, 81K miles. Any weakness I need to look for? Future problems etc?? Thanks for any info. RR

I have an '04 Club Cab with 115,000 and it runs and starts like it did when I bought it new. Just keep the oil changed.

 

welcome, nice to see another person from washington. regular oil and tranny fluid changes.

 

and just check the ball joints. as well as the rear if its a 9.25 corporate with an LSD other that not to many problems that you tend to read about...at least from what i've observed and seen. I love my 2000

 

well the lsd is a pos according to billy. he and many other destroyed their c clip and he just had his lsd seize on him. among with thousands of others. normal driving you will be fine. But if you launch on a regular basis and abuse it, it wont last long.

 

yeah that is what happened to mine had a bunch of metal on the magnet a year after I got it but Im pretty sure it was like that when i got it because it acted weird the whole first year
