Default 04 Club Cab 4x4 Fuel Capacity

Does anybody else have this issue? According to the manual, I should have either a 20 gallon tank (with ORVR) or 22 gallons (without ORVR). I'm not sure how to tell whether or not I've got ORVR...I read something about a plastic or metal fuel filler assembly, and mine's plastic...but I do know that I ran it down to E and drove it another 50 miles, and it still only took 16 gallons.

I think I have a 22 gallon, and I know exactly what you're talking about. A few days ago my gas light came on, but I drove it for awhile longer. Then the other day I filled her up and it took like 16.07 gallons or something, and according to the gage it was full. It's weird, and I'm pretty confused by it. I wonder if you let it go for long enough that it only lets you fill it to a certain amount. My gas mileage was really bad when I calculated it, which would make sense if it's not filling up all the way.

another easy way to do this it to email dodge and get your build sheet from them and it will tell you what you have whats crazy is that the ecm is diffrent for the 20 and 22 gal tanks

I 'have' the 22gal tank, but Ive never gotten more than 19 in it I think. I did actually run it dry once...I was feeling Seinfeld-esque...and I think I still only got 19 or maybe 20 in...

So I guess my tank is never ACTUALLY full then? Just says it on the gage. It must be a safety thing, but it's kinda weird/misleading lol.

I have a 22 gal tank. I never run mine below a quarter of a tank. Usually around half a tank I refill.

I try not to but sometimes it happens, but I usually do like 10 or 20 dollars at a time because I feel like whenever I fill it the price goes down right after. But I filled it last week and it was a benefit to me haha.

I have an '04 V-6 quad cab and I can easily get over 20 gallons in the tank if I fill up as soon as the gas light comes on. I've actually gotten over 23 gallons in there, I assume because the neck that goes from the filler to the tank can hold another gallon or two.

Its weird i've never put more than 18 in my tank. I have a 22 gal tank, its also weird cause my moms jeep has a 20.5 gal tank(manual says so) and I pulled into the gas station after squeezing 450 miles out of it and I got 21.60 gal in it lol

Well, thanks to Moparman, I've got the build sheet, and it says 22 gallon gas tank. Amazing, I ran the thing down to what I thought were fumes and it only took 16 gallons. Just doesn't seem right.
